English Bone China Teacup and Saucer

Scope and content:

English bone china porcelain teacup and saucer. Both Items have green (made from copper) and a gilded gold leaf/running stylized floral pattern with a white base. Bone china, invented in the early 19th century, uses calcium from crushed bone in order to reinforce the structure and maintain the item's integrity. Saucer measures 5 3/4'' (diameter). Cup measures 3 1/2'' (width) including handle x 3'' (height) including handle. Saucer is in fair condition with markings on both sides and cracks that have not penetrated the item.The green from copper and gilded gold is in tact. Cup is in fair condition with crack near the handle that has not penetrated the item, but the gilded gold is fading on the cup's brim, inside base, and around the outside.
