Vinyard Coin Collection: 1 Reale

Scope and content:

One 1 Reale coin minted in Mexico. The face of the coin is heavily worn away, but the date of 1781 is still clearly visible, as well as the words, DEI GRATIA CARO; a reference to Charles III the Spanish Emperor. The reverse is heavily worn, but small portions of the Spanish shield are still visible. The coin is made of silver. 17mm.Very worn condition. Gift of Chris Vinyard.
