Note:

Viola part wanting. RISM H2282 includes at least two editions of this work: (1) for two oboes, two violins, viola, and basso continuo, as in this exemplar; (2) for the same instruments, with additional parts for two horns for the first five concertos. The versos of all title-pages in (2) contain the first page of music for their respective parts; none is blank. Pipa Drummond ("The Concertos of Johann Adolf Hasse,"Proceedings of the Royal Musical Association,99 [1972/73], 92) has identified five of the six concertos in this set as sinfonias from Hasse's dramatic works: Concerto I is fromAsteria(first performed in 1734); II is fromSenocrita(1734); III is fromCleofide(1731); IV is fromArtaserse(1730); and V is fromCajo Fabricio(1731).
