Paintings by Major Edwin Shearburn, an officer in the U.S. Army's Eighth Evacuation Hospital Unit who created a series of paintings that documented his life in the unit during World War II. The pencil sketch of Shearburn was created by Sgt. Brumment Echohawk, also of the unit.
