Scope and content:

This addition to MSS 10191, John W. Warner papers, contains material documenting Warner's work while in service as a Senator of Virginia (1979-2009). This includes programs and clippings of events honoring Senator Warner, correspondence with Governor George Allen, Benjamin Bradlee, Donald Beyer, Bob Dole, George W. Bush, Jerry Kilgore, and Paul Wolfowitz, campaign mailers, reports, Senator Warner's remarks for George Mason University Commencement Address and a DVD with a C-Span segment on Senator Warner's Retirement Announcement from 2009. Also included is and an opposition research report titled "Attack from the Right" from 1995 analyzing Senator Warner's voting record on Congressional issues and a briefing book from Warner to Romer "Les" Brownlee, who served as Warner's National Security Advisor which contains containing briefing documents, talking points, and other notes.
