Transcription: [double-headed eagle] Article No. RH-5214/38 Easter egg charm of gold-on-silver, inlaid with varicolored opaque [handwritten, transparent x'ed out] enamel and bearing the Russian letters "XB" front and back, the abbreviation of the Easter salutation "Christ is Risen". It was designed by Carl Fabergé, the celebrated Russian court jeweler to Nicholai II and Alexander III, and is hall-marked with the initials of his workmaster. From the quarters of Grand Duchess Olga Nicholaevna, oldest daughter of Nicholai II, in the Alexander Palace, Tsarskoye Selo. Mrs. J. L.
