#2325 Unique sculpture of a hornbill by CARL G. FABERGE, the celebrated Russian Court jeweler. This exotic bird with its exceptionally long curved beak, is shown in a seated position, with its head upraised. It is carved from flawless smoky topaz, beautiful in color. The rendition of the bird is executed with broad, sweeping lines, yet with great attention and fidelity to detail. Diamonds mounted in yellow gold are set in for the eyes. It is in every respect an example typical of the fine animal sculptures by Fabergé.
