Transcription: [double-headed eagle] The Schaffer Collection of Russian Imperial Art Treasures ROCKEFELLER CENTER, NEW YORK October 1, 1937 #1591 Small cushion-shaped box of gold and silver by CARL G. FABERGE [sic], the celebrated Russian Court jeweler. It is executed entirely in canary yellow enameled over a chased (guilloche) surface, and opens with a small pearl-bordered lid having a ruby catch. It is decorated on top with a diamond and ruby six-petaled [sic] flower which forms the center of the fine guilloche pattern. From the Alexander Palace at Tsarskoye Selo.
