The following text is printed directly onto the reverse of the cardboard mount: S. Carolina Room, Mount Vernon Mansion. Copyrighted by Luke C. Dillon, Photographer to Mount Vernon, Office at Pullman's Gallery, 935 Penn. Avenue, Washington City, D. C. Robert Waldsmith included a penciled note that reads: Copy made for M.V.L.A. 1983 for exact same view dated 1891 - framed. Chair shown is one I sat in at M.V. in 1983.
