- Stereoscopic view of an equestrian statue of George Washington by Thomas Ball installed in Boston's Public Garden. The bronze sculpture was commissioned in 1859, modeled in 1864, and cast and dedicated in 1869. The view includes a fountain in the foreground with a man standing nearby. Mounted on yellow board. The photographer's imprint on the front of the card reads: America Illustrated, Boston Suburbs. A printed description on the reverse of the card describes location and design of the garden.
