Stereoscopic view of Mansion's south lumber room, once believed to have been occupied by Mrs. Washington upon George Washington's death and formally titled 'Mrs. Washington's Bed Room or Chamber.' Later determined that Mrs. Washington resided in a different chamber on the third floor of the Mansion. Mounted on orange board. The photographer's imprint on the front of the card reads, N. G. Johnson, Photographer, 309 9th St. Washington, D. C. (partially covered by photograph), Only Authorized Publisher of Mount Vernon Views. A printed label on the reverse reads: Martha Washington's Bed chamber, The same as when she occupied it and where she died in 1802, Mt. Vernon.
