- Stereoscopic view of Washington's tomb at Mount Vernon. Stereograph shows wooden plank walkway, two obelisks and several people. A man looks into the vault and an African American woman stands next to him. A young African American boy leans against the metal railing surrounding one of the obelisks. Photograph likely taken in 1858 - see glass negative [R-221 ; EV-1007d] which includes the same man and young boy. Mounted on yellow board. 'Tomb of Washington' is written in ink on the reverse.
