Printed on lower front edge of mount - Entered according to Act of Congress by M. B. Brady Co. in the year 1865 in the Clerk's Office of the District of Columbia. The photographer's stamp on the reverse reads: M. B. Brady Co. National Photographic Portrait Galleries No. 352 Pennsylvania Av. Washington, D. C. New York. The reverse of the card bears a 2 cent, Blue Proprietary (R13) revenue stamp.
