Set of 78 lantern slides, hand-colored and black and white: maps, plans and perspectives of the Mount Vernon estate showing ownership by the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association, numbered tree plantings, garden plan (lower garden); Vaughan Plan; Map of Virginia Tidewater; aerial views of the Mount Vernon estate; facsimile of 1793 map of estate; individual photographs of original trees (numbered); map of principle events in George Washington's life; walks, paths and drives on the estate; view outside garden wall; old brickyard site - field near west gate; west gate vista; view from cupola towards west gate; George Washington Memorial Parkway; traffic cirle at Mount Vernon; seawall along Potomac River; wharf; fencing; portrait of Ann Pamela Cunningham (by Lambdin); and portrait of George Washington (William Williams). Views are photographed by several photographers (some marked and some unmarked) including Martin G. Schneckenburger, possibly Beck Engraving Company and Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences (publisher). Many of the slides have handwritten numbers (likely an internal number) on the label.
