Physical description:
Hand-colored Magic Lantern slide of the view from the Washington bedchamber looking south. The view includes the Potomac River, old tomb (faintly), stacks of hay or grass and an unidentified man on the southeast lawn. The picket fencing around the old tomb was used to protect the structure from around 1860-1880. Item listed in publisher's 1890 catalogue.
