- Stereoscopic view of the circle storehouse [Butler's House] from the Mansion circle. A hitching post is positioned along the circle. A view down the south lane shows a portion of the smoke house, wash house and stable [barn]. Mounted on orange board. The photographer's imprint on the front of cardboard mount reads: N. G. Johnson, Photographer, 309 9th St., Washington D. C. Only Authorized Publisher of Mount Vernon Views. A label affixed the reverse read: Butler's House, Smoke House and "Cabin," with Barn in the Distance, Mt. Vernon, Showing near the Butler's House, and fenced around, the celebrated Magnolia Tree planted by Washington in the year of his death, 1799.
