Stereoscopic view of the 'Butler's House' or circle storehouse at the Mount Vernon estate. Two men are in the foreground, one is seated and the other is leaning against a hitching post. Mounted on yellow board. A penciled note on the verso read: "Butler's house at Mt. Vernoo, Wash. over which hangs a Magnolia tree planted by Gen. Washington. Bought by M. M. Dillon, July 1875."
