A preprinted label affixed to the reverse reads, View from Old Brick Barn to the North arched Gate, Showing the Butler's House, Old Family Kitchen and Supts. [Superintendent's] Office. The date [1880] is written in red pencil. A separate handwritten note reads: Gift through V-R [Vice Regent] for Mass., 1947. A portion of the top right corner has completely been torn away.
