Stereoscopic view of ceramic item including a wash basin, pitchers, cup and saucer, and a small tureen setting upon a stand in the Mansion's south lumber room, once believed to have been occupied by Mrs. Washington upon George Washington's death and formally titled 'Mrs. Washington's Bed Room or Chamber.' Later determined that Mrs. Washington resided in a different chamber on the third floor of the Mansion. Mounted on orange board. The photographer's imprint on the front of the card reads, N. G. Johnson, Photographer, 309 9th St. Washington, D. C., Only Authorized Publisher of Mount Vernon Views. A printed label on the reverse reads: The Wash Bowl and Pitcher, used by Martha Washington and is now in her old Bed Chamber.
