- Stereoscopic view the new room in the Mount Vernon Mansion. A large screen covers the fireplace and hearth. Mounted on orange board. The photographer's imprint on the front of the card reads, N. G. Johnson, Photographer, 317 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D. C., Only Authorized Publisher of Mt. Vernon Views. A printed label on the reverse reads: State Dining Room, Or Banquet Hall, in which Washington gave his State Dinners, displaying Peal's [Rembrandt Peale] painting of Washington before Yorktown and the interesting old relic, the Mayflower Chair with its old-fashioned straight back, which was brought over in the ship Mayflower in 1620.
