Stereoscopic view of the west front of the Mansion. A man stands on the Mansion circle courtyard and several individuals are in front of the central entrance. Mounted on orange board. The photographer's imprint on the stereograph mount reads, N. G. Johnson, Photographer, 317 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington D. C. Only Authorized Publisher of Mt. Vernon Views. The reverse of the stereograph has an adhered printed label - Mount Vernon Mansion, West, or Original Front, originally built in 1743 by Lawrence Washington, and extended in 1784-5 by General Washington.
