The following text is printed onto the front bottom portion of the cardboard mount: Woolaston, Pinx. Mary, Mother of George Washington. The only portrait extant. The original painting in the possession of R. F. Field Co., Art Dealers, New York. Copyright, 1885, by R. F. Field Co.
