Albumen print on cabinet card mount of three-quarter length portrait of Emily L. Harper [Miss Emily L. Harper], member of the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association, Vice Regent for Maryland (1866-1892), seated near the south porch at Mount Vernon. The cardboard mount has gold embossed edges. The photographer's stamp on the reverse reads: Luke C. Dillon, Photographer to Mount Vernon, Office at Pullman's Gallery, No. 935 Pennsylvania Avenue, P.O. Box 655, Washington, D. C.
