Physical description:
Cabinet card of view from Mansion circle towards south lane with snow on the ground and rooftops. The circle storehouse [Butler's House] appears closest to the circle followed by the smokehouse, wash house and stable further down the lane (south). The following text is printed onto the reverse of the cardboard mount: Butler's House, Mount Vernon. Showing, near the Butler's House, and fenced around, the celebrated Magnolia Tree, planted by Washington in the year of his death, 1799.
