Physical description:

Cabinet card of Mansion's south lumber room, once believed to have been occupied by Mrs. Washington upon George Washington's death and formally titled 'Mrs. Washington's Bed Room or Chamber.' Later determined that Mrs. Washington resided in a different chamber on the third floor of the Mansion. A label adhered to the cardboard mount reads: Martha Washington's Bed Chamber. The same as when she occupied it and where she died in 1802, Mt. Vernon. A faint blue ink stamp reads: Copyright 1880 by the Mount Vernon Association.
