- Cabinet card of interior view of the southeast corner of the Small Dining Room at Mount Vernon. The caption provided by the photographer is incorrect. In 1880, the room was in the care of South Carolina not Rhode Island. Printed label on the reverse reads: Washington's Family Dining Room, The Ceiling, Fireplace and walls, are [j]ust (sp) as they were in the time of Washington. The room is now used for the reception of visitors, and is in the care of R.I.
