Physical description:
Cabinet card of the central passage in the Mansion at Mount Vernon. View towards staircase and west entrance. Pillars added for support. A relic case situated near the west door is protected by a railing. A case displaying one of Washington's swords hangs next to the pillar at far right. The key to the Bastille hangs in a small case on the opposite wall. A handwritten note on the reverse reads: Presented by Free Library of Phila., February 1938. Their date "early 1890s", see file "Accessions Misc."
