Black and white photographic print of Miss Agnes Peter wearing relics of her ancestor Martha Washington - miniature [W-2012/B], cap, fichu, bracelet [H-3874] and handkerchief. Two unidentified women dressed in period attire stand next to Miss Peter. Miss Peter portrayed Martha Washington on this day during the April 14, 1939 reenactment at Mount Vernon of Washington departing for New York upon receiving news of the presidency.
