Black and white photograph, debut of 'The Father of Liberty - A Sound and Light Program' to hundreds of special guests in attendance for the outdoor event at Mount Vernon. Prior to the performance, a presentation of the program as a Bicentennial gift to the United States was made by French President d'Estaing on behalf of the French Republic to President Ford who in turn gifted the production to Mount Vernon. A stamp on the reverse indicates the photograph was taken by 'The Gazette Staff.'
