Photographic head-and-shoulders portrait of Amos Fisher, Mount Vernon personnel. In November 15, 1913, Superintendent Harrison H. Dodge writes to the Regent [Miss Harriet Clayton Comegys] that Amos Fisher (over 85 years old), says he was the carpenter who shingled the Mansion in 1860. The surface of the photograph has been touched up. Photographer's stamp on the reverse. Note this photograph appears in a newspaper clipping found in the photo archives.
