Physical description:
Black and white photograph. Copy photograph of the west front of the Mansion under repair. It appears that some of the siding has been removed with several ladders present and possible scaffolding set-up on the north side of the house. Reverse handwritten note reads: Entered according to Acts of Congress in the year 186_ (illegible) by Gardner and Gibson in the Clerk's office of the District Court of the District of Columbia.
