Visited her mother at Hope Park, who was then expecting a child and is now recovering from her confinement. The child is a daughter named Eleanor. Nelly has attended races, including a match race by horses owned by Mr. Tilghman and General Ridgely. Cares only for the social aspect of horse races. Attended a ball at Union Tavern, mentions young Mr. Charles Carroll and Ben Ringold.
