Paid Mr. Bennett for him and sends receipt--"Your proposition to enclose the other papers I loaned you to Mrs. Lee of Arlington is perfectly satisfactory to me"--cannot comply with his request to leave plan of Pohick in his keeping. Autograph letter signed, on lined paper. Name on original manuscript appears as "John A. Washington."
