Must decline invitation to dine--Mrs. W. afraid he will have another attack like that he just had, if he goes--her excitement on matter so strong he cannot bring himself to go without her consent--invites him and other officers over to dine. Name on original manuscript appears as "Bush. Washington." Autograph letter signed, integral cover, docketed.
