A.L.S. 2 pages. Philadelphia. To Thompson at the Supreme Court of the U.S. Didn't write sooner because he wanted to examine Thompson's decisions carefully -- then "our domestic misfortunes occurred, which compelled me to take my family to the mountains" -- apologizing for his resulting silence, Bushrod then writes out his opinion on the several decisions made by Thompson, concurring in all. Autograph letter signed, integral cover, docketed, laminated, watermarked (M). Name on original manuscript appears as "Bush. Washington."
