Samuel Washington receives 175 dollars from Custis in return for "A Sorrel Horse ... about sixteen hands high; but five years old, warranted sound and free from blemish ..." If Custis finds the horse to be "unsound" within thirty days, Washington agrees to return the total sum. Witnessed by Tobias Lear and Lawrence Lewis.
