A.L.S. 2 pages. Greenwood. Two [slaves] have run away, one breaking down a door where he was confined--ring leader is Bill who is influenced by his mother--hopes she and papa [who evidently owns the mother] won't let her off this time for "I believe she has a desire to ruin us if she possibly can"--requests Papa's [T. Blackburn] help in bringing them back, for it ruins them, losing them at this busy time. Autograph letter signed, laminated, incomplete watermark. Name on original manuscript appears as "S. Craufurd."
