A.L.S. 1 page. Philadelphia. Written at the President's direction thanking him for information about box shipped by Mr. Lear and letter forwarded from Lear -- asks Greenleaf to direct his friend in New York to send the box to Philadelphia, taking care to convey it safely as it contains glass -- President wishes him to call when he comes to Philadelphia to receive a sum of money on Mr. Lear's account. Autograph letter signed, draft, docketed by Dandridge and in a later hand "Written on Genl Washington's watermarked paper," watermark. Name on original manuscript appears as "B. Dandridge."
