A.L.S. 1 page. Because of Capt. Wilson's situation it has been impossible to issue Lawrence's half pay--needs a new power of atty.--also asks Lawrence to send him a letter for the Secy. of War in re. his bad state of health and requesting a 12 mo. extension of his leave. Autograph letter signed, integral cover, laminated, watermark (crown over powder horn and name L.V. Garrevink). Name on original manuscript appears as "Anth. Stewart".
