Is opposed to erecting a monument to Miss Cunningham at Mount Vernon but feels right to have some type of memorial made for her. Doubts that Miss Cunningham was using Mount Vernon funds for herself. Certainly not in the early years of the MVLA. Certain that Devereux forged the bad checks that looked so much like Miss Cunningham's signature. She was not to blame for his swindles.
