Asks if Janeway's wall-paper and bedstead are gifts. Discusses General Michler and bills for paint, oil, and glass. General Michler sent Mount Vernon six large mahogany cases from President's House. Hall will not be painted. Thinks General Michler hopes to get more money for repairs. ER-16, p. 167
