This letter was written on behalf of the Virginia Railroad Company in Richmond, Virginia on February 4, 1866 to Robert E. Lee. The letter was written to Lee to inform him of a bill advocating the railroad's repair and to continue his support of the reconstruction of Virginia's infrastructure.
