Inter-War Period

Containers:
Box 1, Folder 7-70
Scope and content:

Th inter-war period subseries consists primarily of reports and publications from both the federal government and the private sector. Both of these groups focus heavily on propaganda, often comparing 1930s propaganda to propaganda during World War I. There is also some emphasis on the New Deal programs and their impact on the press and individual freedoms. Foreign Newspapers in this subseries tend to focus on Germany's shift to fascism and its implications. Also included in this subseries, are Riegel's own notes on these subjects mixed with brief personal comments related to his work.
