Biographical / historical:

This house is historically linked to Cornelius Frank Whitmore (1859–1921). In July 1910, land records show that C. Frank Whitmore acquired significant acreage in the Walkers Creek District. This house sat across the Maury River from the Rockbridge Baths Hotel and was gone before 1950.
