Biographical / historical:

Commander Mark D. Pistochini served with the United States Navy from June 26, 1968 through September 1, 1996, and retired as a Commander (OS). He served as a Communications Intelligence Evaluator (COMEVAL) with the United States Naval Security Group, Detachment Atsugi, Japan from March 1978 through August 1981. He accrued over 2,000 hours in the VA-1 EP-3 aircraft.
