Lieutenant Commander (retired) Jerome Leugers commissioned in the United States Navy 1973 and spent his career as a naval aviator, flying the C-1, Saberline, C-9, and A-6. He served on active duty for ten years and subsequently in the reserves, retiring after 20 years.
