Biographical / historical:

Kristopher G. Kowalczyk was born in 1982 and enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 17. He trained as an ammunition specialist and subsequently went to flight school, becoming an Apache helicopter pilot. Among his assignments was a 12 month deployment to Kosovo, Serbia.
