Lieutenant Chris Gray graduated from the Naval Academy in 2001. He subsequently reported to Nuclear Power School and then went to Prototype in Charleston, South Carolina. He was first assigned to the USS Tennessee (SSBN-734) in Kings Bay, Georgia. Gray spent three years on board the USS Tennessee and was an instructor with VMI's Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) program.
