Brigadier General Charles F. Brower, IV served in the United States Army from 1969 to 2001, serving in:

  • United States Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR)
  • RVN
  • Continental United States in the 4th Armored Division, 101st Airborne Division, 24th Infantry Division (Mech), and 23rd Infanty Division
  • Cavalry Troop Commander, RVN, from 1971 to 1972
Brower was an Professor, departments of History and Behavior Sciences and Leadership, at the United States Military Academy. He also served as Deputy Superintendent and Dean of the Faculty at VMI from 2001 to 2008.
