Benjamin Kimsey is a member of the VMI Class of 2009. From 2002 to 2005 he was on active duty in the United States Army in the 116th Brigade, 29th Infantry Division, and was deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and Afghanistan. Kimsey subsequently became a member of the National Guard, in Delta 1 of the 19th Special Forces Group in Kingwood, West Virginia.
